Audio & Video Systems

Three Modalities

NPC offers classes that link all of our campus/center locations through interactive instructional audio and video technology. This flexible format allows us to expand our course offerings and provide you with more educational options close to home. Students can hear, see and have discussions with the instructor who is teaching on the audio & video system from another location. Currently the College offers three types of classrooms for instructors who are interested in offering their classes via the audio and video systems:

Quick Info

Playing Video in Audio/Model Classrooms

In Model/Audio classroom, only Omnijoin (previously known as Nefsis) allows the instructor to share videos to multiple locations. You can share videos in MP4 or AVI format.

YouTube videos are frequently played in audio/video classes to enrich students’ learning experience. Due to the codec limitation, directly playing YouTube within Omnijoin will cause some issues. A workaround is to use a converter to download the Youtube video as an MP4 file to your computer or thumb drive, and play it as a media file in Omnijoin. NPC Information Services recommend the following method:

  1. Go to this Online Converter
  2. In the “Insert video link (URL) and select format” box, enter your Youtube URL
  3. Choose MP4 from the format list (by default it says “MP3”, click on it and switch to MP4), and click the “convert” button
  4. When conversion finished, click the green “Download” button to save the MP4 file to your computer
