As a result of successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:

1) Navigate the major parts of an operating system GUI.
2) Create and save files in a selection of common formats.
3) Store, back up, and retrieve files.
4) Understand and use simple word processing.
5) Find, evaluate, navigate, and log into sites on the WWW using a browser.
6) Create usernames and passwords.
7) Create/manipulate screen shots and embed them into documents.
8) Understand and use simple principles of accessibility.
9) Understand and use search engine technology.
10) Define and use a URL.
11) Perform basic email operations, including attachments.
12) Communicate with others electronically.
